Azets, the international business advisory group, today announces the appointment of Krister Aanesen as Nordic CEO. Krister will lead a new Nordic Senior Leadership Team, alongside existing management teams in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. The appointment aims to deliver a more joined-up experience for clients, strengthen collaboration, and drive growth across the region.
Educated at Kellogg (MBA) and Strathclyde (Engineering), Krister lives in Oslo and has worked across the Nordics and internationally. He brings extensive leadership experience from top Nordic banks, insurance, and audit/advisory firms, with a strong track record in transformation, strategy, and team development.
Krister’s appointment is part of changes to Azets’ leadership and governance in the Nordics and UK & Ireland, where Peter Gallanagh, UK CEO, will lead the newly combined UK & Ireland region.
Both Peter and Krister will report to Richard Yerbury, Group Chief Operating Officer (COO). Blick Rothenberg will continue to be led by Nimesh Shah, reporting to Richard Yerbury.
Richard Yerbury, Group COO at Azets, said: "These appointments reflect our commitment to strengthening regional collaboration, sharing expertise, and unlocking new, cross-border growth opportunities for our clients and colleagues alike.  Peter and Krister bring the leadership and experience needed to drive our combined businesses forward and ensure Azets continues to deliver outstanding client service across all our markets."
Krister Aanesen, Nordic CEO at Azets, said: "I am passionate about driving results through collaboration and I am excited to join Azets at this pivotal moment. I look forward to working with Nordic colleagues to share best practice and deliver exceptional service to our clients across the region.”
